The Five Senses Spa is dedicated to providing therapies and services in an atmosphere to facilitate the healing forces of nature that surround the historic Town of Bath, Berkeley Springs, WV. Whether it's the healing water from the Town's natural spring or energy from the crystals found in the mountains behind the Five Senses Spa, these hidden forces of nature and our skilled therapists help to rejuvenate and restore your body's equilibrium.
We invite you to enjoy a luxurious experience in our Spa where licensed professional therapists soothe your body from head to toe with facials, massage, skin and nail treatments, body therapy and hydrotherapy. Whether you come for the day or decide to stay overnight in our historic Inn, the Five Senses Spa has a wide variety of spa packages from which to choose.
Making Your Spa Appointment
Here at the Five Senses Spa we have but one goal…to pamper you. Our Spa is very popular, and weekends book well in advance. In order to ensure you secure the desired appointment time(s), we suggest making your spa reservations at the same time you reserve your lodging. Our staff will be happy to assist you coordinate your appointment and lodging reservations.
Your comfort is our top priority. When making your reservation, please let us know if you prefer a male or female therapist; we will make every effort to accommodate your request.
Our Spa has three levels, and although we have an elevator, please inform us if you have mobility or other issues of which we should be aware so we may better accommodate you.
Cancellation Policy
If your plans should change, please cancel your appointment as soon as possible. Our therapists work on commission, so we ask that you cancel your appointment 48 hours in advance, with no penalty. If the cancellation is made less than 48 hours in advance, the full charge for services will apply.
Hours
The Five Senses Spa normally is open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm. Reservations for weekend or after-hour treatments should be made three-to-six weeks in advance due to demand.
Age
We all love children, but we are an adult spa. Therefore, no one under the age of 18 may use our services. We are unable to offer childcare during spa services.
Attire
One of the first questions many of our guests ask is, “How should I dress for my visit to the spa?” Our answer is, "Come as you are! We are prepared to indulge you!"
The Five Senses Spa will supply you with robes, towels and slippers for your Spa experience as may be required for the services you've booked.
We also provide lockers so that you may lock up your personal items, but please do not bring valuable items with you to the spa area. We ask that you secure them elsewhere.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment so you may register and relax.
Our relaxing mineral whirlpool bath is private and large enough for two people who may wish to share. Bathing suits are not required while soaking in our whirlpool baths,
and you may disrobe completely for your massage. Only areas of the body that are being massaged are exposed. If you feel more comfortable, you may wear an undergarment.
Special Needs and Medical Concerns
Please inform your therapist of any physical problems you are experiencing or any allergies you may have.
Good communication when making your reservation and with your therapist is key. Let him or her know about the pressure of the massage, health issues,
changes to the temperature of the room, brighter or dimmer lights or anything that would improve your Spa experience.
Shaving or waxing less than 24 hours prior to a body scrub is strongly discouraged. Scrubs can be irritating to freshly shaven skin.
We suggest you drink water before and directly after your spa treatments. We also suggest you avoid alcohol before and after your services.
Gratuities
Spa gratuities are not included in any of our Spa packages or treatments.
Gift Certificates
A gift certificate for our services is the perfect gift. A certificate may be purchased for any package or in any denomination at the Front Desk of the Inn or through our website.
Spa Boutique
You may purchase many of the products used in our Five Senses Spa treatments at our 4th-floor SpaShop or the Inn Gift Shop near the front lobby.
